BACKGROUND:
The ICTV Active Video Distribution Network uses existing Internet and on-demand infrastructure to deliver the broadband video experience to tens of millions of cable, IPTV and mobile viewers–for pennies per viewer hour. Does not matter which set-top box or handset they have. Based on open Internet standards, ActiveVideo leverages broadband programming, tools, talent and infrastructure for content management, ad placement and e-commerce.
JOB:
Champion components of the ICTV ActiveVideo Platform and help influence a new paradigm in the delivery of Web-based programming and advertising to television. You will make roadmap and product recommendations and lead the decision-making process, based on customer requirements, market dynamics, competitive analysis and business team buy-in. Analyze and perform market competitive studies and make adjustments to feature set, business models, pricing actions, positioning and partner programs. Study, develop and recommend implementation and integration plans for cable, telco and wireless markets.
REQUIREMENTS:
Undergraduate degree in a technology field with an MBA preferred. Also required are 3-5 years of proven success in bringing products through development to launch, with experience in Internet and network products a plus. Superior communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation skills are a must. Also requires tenacity and the ability to drive programs through to successful conclusion. Knowledge of digital video (TV/broadcast/satellite/Internet) technology is a must.
