An interesting opportunity for AOL to expand brand awareness … KOL, aka AOL for kids, and DIC Entertainment are teaming up to co-produce “KOL’s Saturday Morning Secret Slumber Party on CBS.” Saturday monring TV doesn’t have quite the cachet it did in the pre-kids cable channel days but it’s still a potentially good way for AOL to provide a coordinated TV-online experience for kids and for CBS to get some online attention.
— KOL and DIC will create a site for the block and KOL will add elements on its own service to encourage on-air viewing.
— One new series — a dance compeition — is based on Konami video game franchise Dance Dance Revolution.
— They’ll also create PSAs touting healthy eating to air on TV and online.
