Lightningcast (now owned by Advertising.com), the leading provider of in-stream advertising solutions for broadband video publishers, seeks a director of sales to sell our hosted technology platform to owners and distributors of video content.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
— Cultivate high-level, direct relationships with leading online broadcasters
— Work as a team with sales engineering and management to develop and close new revenue within a targeted list of strategic accounts
— Consult with clients to identify new opportunities to enhance product capabilities to meet customer requirements and produce additional revenue streams
— Develop new markets as needed
— Provide feedback to the rest of the organization on how to better satisfy client needs
Skills:
— Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with both technology and business decision makers
— Strong understanding of Internet advertising technologies
— Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving business environment
— Ability to work as a team with sales engineers and management
Education / Experience:
— Three to five years of proven success in Internet media/technology sales; rich media/ad server experience preferred.
— BA/BS required.
— Or relevant combination of education and experience.
