Telecom services provider Syniverse has acquired Interactive Technology Holdings, based in Hong Kong, for $38 million plus additional payments of up to $7 million in cash based on future earnings.
The Tampa, FL-based Syniverse company offers technology and network interconnection services to telecom providers. Interactive Technology Holdings, based in Hong Kong, is a regional provider of value-added services to carriers in the Asia Pacific region and employs 180 people. “ITHL provides many new customers, most of whom are GSM operators, and a strong set of advanced products, including prepaid, messaging, video and number portability products that complement Syniverse’s existing suite of services,” Tony Holcombe, CEO of Syniverse, said in a statement.
