Reuters, which has been going through some major transformation under Tom Glocer, has appointed Devin Wenig COO and potential heir apparent to Glocer. Wenig, currently president of Reuters’s business division, which has responsibilities across the company’s four trading areas, takes his position immediately, re-establishing a post that has been left vacant for three years.
Wenig, who is viewed by some analysts as a likely successor to Glocer in the event of his departure, has worked for Reuters for 13 years and joined its board of directors in 2003.
Reuters: Glocerhas signalled that he had no plans to leave Reuters any time soon.
