Sony’s Blu-Ray Titles To Launch June 20; Hardware Delay?

Well, if the hardware is delayed till August/September, as conflicting reports are saying, what’s the point of launching the titles? Sony Pictures Home Entertainment said it will deliver its first seven titles in the high-definition Blu-ray format to retail stores on June 20, which this story says will coincide with the first commercially available Blu-ray DVD player from Samsung and a Blu-ray-compatible PC from Sony.
Meanwhile, this report says the Samsung player, to retail to about $1,000, has been delayed until September.
Toshiba already sells HD-DVD-based players for just under $500.
