Om Malik Quits His Day Job To Expand His Blog

One of the top Indian bloggers Om Malik has quit his day job to focus on his own blog – GigaOm. He was a senior editor at Business 2.0, a Time Warner publication on technology and new economy. Malik has secured an undisclosed – tiny – amount of funding from True Ventures. He writes in an essay on his blog that he has been inspired by micro-pub(lication) pioneers like Rafat Ali (owner of this site and paidContent) and Mike Arrington of Techcrunch.
