mSnap Receives Funding For Its Radio Station SMS Service

mSnap, a San Diego-based provider of programming tools and SMS services for the radio industry, has received an undisclosed amount of investment from Silicon Valley VC Partech International. mSnap delivers a free programming tool for radio stations to boost ratings and revenues via text messaging and mobile content.
Early funding for mSnap was provided by Josh Kopelman and Howard Morgan’s First Round Capital in December 2005.
RedHerring: The company declined to reveal the exact amount of funding, but said it was below $10 million. mSnap currently works with 165 radio stations across the country, including more than 80 stations owned by Clear Channel Communications. Earlier this month Vibes Media signed a deal with CBS Radio, the second-largest radio conglomerate, to provide text messaging to 41 stations
