Robert Scoble, Microsoft and blog evangelist, is leaving Redmond to be VP-media development for Menlo Park podcasting start-up PodTech Network, Inc.. His role as a technical evangelist at Microsoft centered on Channel 9, a video-based site for the Microsoft Developer Network but it was his blog, which he’ll continue, that made him one of the company’s best-known employees. At Podtech, which recently announced $5.5 million in VC funding, Scoble will handle video blogging and other media initiatives. The WSJ has more here. Scoble explains the move.
