Red Herring: Here is another early-to-growth stage venture capital fund. Amaya Venture Fund is looking to raise $150 million and it will look at media besides other sectors like telecommunications, and technology.
A third of the fund will got to early-stage companies. It’s backed by Brent Hoberman, co-founder of LastMinute.com; Stefan Roever, co-founder of Germany’s Brokat Technologies, and Morten Lund, an early investor in Skype. The general partners of the fund include Saurabh Srivastava, Chairman of Xansa, Rishi Sahai, a general partner at Infinity, and Bundeep Singh Rangar, currently Chairman of IndusView, a corporate advisory service firm in India.
