The Vice President of Marketing will lead and manage the marketing department. In this regard, the Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for all marketing of the company including responsibility for analysis and ROI of all of the company’s marketing initiatives. The Vice President’s responsibilities will include the following:
— Create and manage all outward facing marketing programs and communication to both customers and partners;
— Working with the various internal product managers to devise, implement and manage appropriate marketing campaigns;
— Designing effective marketing and promotional on-line and e-mail programs to drive traffic revenue, customer retention and new sign ups at the websites;
— Interacting with strategic marketing partners;
— Analyzing and reporting to senior management as to the effectiveness of ad and marketing campaigns;
— Identifying, developing and managing outside PR firm;
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be someone who loves the Internet and marketing. The candidate must be creative and passionate about Internet, community, and marketing, and has a strong desire to work in a fast paced, high energy and result driven environment. The candidate should work well under pressure and can deliver on a deadline and have a track record of personal and professional growth. Good communication skills, demonstrated leadership, and a team player are essential.
— Five plus years experience in on-line marketing preferably with an emphasis on sports/cultural focused media.
— Excellent writing skills, creative, confident and smart.
— Deliver results with effective marketing, not simply by spending money to solve a problem.
— A leader, detail oriented and a “roll-up the sleeves and get it done” type of a person.
