Speed Adds Pay Download On Demand: Niche network Speed is setting up its own download shop: Speed on Demand offers broadband downloads of more than 100 races from various motorcycle, IROC and sports car events series for $1.99 a pop. Speed will add races as it acquires broader rights for its on-air programming and plans to offer hundreds of original race series videos and linear network race repeats.
AOL.com and WNBA Expand Video: AOL.com will provide a new broadband channel that will feature WNBA video highlights and a “Greatest Moments” video series sweepstakes in celebration of the WNBA’s 10th Anniversary season.

Comic multitasks for Microsoft, Comedy Central: Up-and-coming comic Demetri Martin has signed with Microsoft and Comedy Central in a pair of interlocking deals that will give him a presence in primetime, online and more. Part of the campaign will be 10 webisodes featuring Martin that will run on MSN, which has been making a strong push into original entertainment.
