– New York Times Digital: Marc Frons has been named CTO for its digital operations effective June 26. He will report to Martin Nisenholtz, senior VP, digital operations. Frons comes from Dow Jones, where he was most recently VP and CTO for its Consumer Media Group, responsible for online product development and applications.
— Starz Entertainment Group: Bob Greene has been promoted to the newly created position of executive VP, advanced services, from senior VP, advanced services. He is responsible for all new media and related businesses including broadband and cellular. Greene reports to Starz CEO Robert Clasen.
— RealNetworks: It has appointed Harold Zeitz as senior VP, media software & services. Zeitz will oversee product development and evolution of Real’s existing RealPlayer and Superpass products, as well as the introduction of new products. Prior to this, he was COO of ShareBuilder Corporation.
— iFilm: iFilm, now owned by MTV, has appointed Linda Fisk as the new VP of marketing. Fisk
