Late April 2007 seems a long way away in today’s climate but that’s when Conde Nast’s new glossy business magazine and companion site — with a potential investment of $100 million — is scheduled to launch. In the meantime, a placeholder for Conde Nast Portfolio (subtitle “Business Intelligence”) is up. According to the Times, the site will have its own staff with print writers expected to contribute. It’s going to have to carry the magazine between the premiere — officially the May issue — and September, when monthly publication starts.
— Content also will be available via mobile and other platforms.
— Branding starts June 15 when Joanne Lipman, the editor in chief, interviews Google CEO Eric Schmidt. Press release.
