Sony Pictures Mobile,
an operating unit of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television International is currently seeking a Director of Mobile Sales with global talent for selling strategic products and services to mobile operators, for Sony Pictures Mobile entertainment products in Latin America. This position will be responsible for managing all business development and sales aspects of Sony Pictures Mobile in Latin America. The selected individual will be responsible for sourcing new business and contacts, identifying divisional challenges, design solutions, negotiate contracts and work with all parties for the fulfillment of those agreements. This person will be responsible for developing and managing a continual sales pipeline, and driving the business to exceed sales targets.
Sony Pictures Mobile is responsible for producing, licensing, marketing and distributing mobile media content from the world’s largest library of branded content owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Sony Pictures Entertainment’s global operations encompass motion picture production and distribution, television programming and syndication, home video acquisition and distribution, operation of studio facilities, development of new entertainment technologies and distribution of filmed entertainment in 67 countries worldwide. Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) operates three complementary lines of business: 1) Distribution of SPE’s feature films and television programming to television outlets around the world, 2) Local television production in key international markets, and 3) International television networks.
Responsibilities:
— Build strategic relationships with mobile operators
— Manage and grow a team of account managers and coordinators
— Establish short and long term sales strategies
— Provide feedback to product line in terms of content attributes and setting pricing strategies to meet sales targets to maximize the success of sales penetration
— Identify and recommend opportunity for improvement in terms of productivity and sales performance
— Coordinate with the marketing team to develop appropriate mobile promotions with mobile operators
Minimum Qualifications:
— Applicants with no previous Mobile experience will not be considered. A minimum of 2 years experience in sales or business development of mobile content with mobile operators is preferred.
— A minimum of 8 years sales and sales management experience with a proven track record of sales achievement
— Experience in business development or sales in the wireless or retail products markets in Latin America
— Successful sales track record of achieving or over achieving quota assignments consistently
— Strong leader in opening up new markets and accounts
— A good working knowledge of both products and services in the wireless industry
— Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans
— Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with senior customer executives
— Strong negotiation skills
— Well-developed written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
— Bilingual – English/Spanish required
Preferred Qualifications:
— Extensive contacts in the Latin American mobile industry
— Experience in mobile games, ring tones, or other mobile media
— Demonstrated success in meeting sales forecasts and growing mobile content sales
