Internet-Related Fundings By Venture Lending & Leasing IV

Updated below: I was searching for something in the SEC filings today, and found this 10-Q from a venture lending firm/fund called “Venture Lending & Leasing IV”, formed in October 2003. Not exactly sure how these venture lending firms operate, compared to say the usual VC firms, but I found some charts of the money the fund has given to some of the digital media firms we cover on a regular basis.
Description of the fund: “The Fund is a financial services company primarily providing financing and advisory services to a variety of carefully selected venture-backed companies primarily throughout the United States with a focus on growth oriented companies. The Fund’s portfolio is well diversified and consists of companies in the communications, information services, media, and technology, including software and technology-enabled business services, bio-technology, and medical devices industry sectors, among others. The Fund’s capital is generally used by our portfolio companies to finance acquisitions of fixed assets and working capital.”
Again, I am not sure when these fundings/lendings were done, but I compiled a chart of the money owed to the fund as of March 31 this year….companies include Akimbo, Facebook, Tribe, Zinio, Snocap, Digital Bridges (now I-Play) and others. The maximum amount was close to $10 million.
Updated: The firm’s name is WesternTech as someone posted in the comments below.
