CIOL: Here is an interview with E Abraham Mathew, President of tech jobs site CyberMedia Dice, who talks about the company’s experience after one year of its operations in India. Cybermedia Dice is a JV between IT publishing group CyberMedia and tech jobs portal Dice. Mathew says:
Today the online job board market is estimated to be around Rs.150 crore and is expected to grow by 50 per cent year on year for the next couple of years at least. The reason for this growth is that more seekers and recruiters are actually experiencing the benefits of online job boards. It is not that they are not using what they were doing earlier. Other traditional forms of recruitments like print, consultants, referrals will continue to be used. But there is a very strong value proposition in the online job boards – more efficiency, flexibility, dynamism and most importantly cost saving. In a booming job market it will become harder to attract high caliber tech talent to a job. Hence recruiters will turn more and more to specialized sites that are industry focused.
