VitalStream Acquires Streaming Ad Firm Eonstreams, For $17 Million

Audio and video content delivery network VitalStream has acquired audio and video ad insertion firm Eonstreams, for about $17 million in stock. Through the acquisition, Vitastream will be able to offer pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll audio and video ads in their streaming music, TV, film and podcast content.
Eonstreams, founded in 2000, serves streaming audio, video and banner ads that are sometimes synchronized and are targeted based on user registration data. The firm requires registration of all users accessing its clients’ content, much of which is streaming radio. Its clients include Univision and Citadel broadcasting.
Earlier this month, Vitalstream (which trades on OTC board) reported Q1 revenues of $5.6 million, up 64 percent over Q1 ’05 revenues of $3.4 million.
More details in the release.
