Re-Org At Yahoo Media Group; Yahoo Studios Formed; Vince Broady Joins From CNET

Yahoo’s Santa Monica-based media group has gone through a reorganization, and a senior exec from CNET has been brought in, and another one is leaving.
According to the memo sent out by Lloyd Braun today, Vince Broady, formerly a senior VP at CNET Networks (co-founder of Gamespot), is joining YMG as head of its games and entertainment properties mid-next month..he is leaving CNET today. At Yahoo, he will oversee entertainment properties, including movies and TV, and will also oversee games and youth businesses. He will also help shape the group’s overall video business.
Yahoo has also formed a new “Yahoo Studios” group, and David Katz, the head of Yahoo Sports, will be heading this new division. Yahoo Studios will focus on “the development and production of event-based, original and user-generated content for all of Yahoo Media Group”. Scott Moore will continue to oversee news, finance and technology and also assume responsibility for health and lifestyles.
Shawn Hardin, who was heading the games, health and youth businesses, is leaving today..not sure where he is going to.
There is a Yahoo Media Group get together tomorrow, and the news is also supposed to be officially announced tomorrow as well.
