The Economic Times: There is an interesting development in the Indian music industry. Handset manufacturers are talking to Indian music labels, artists and content providers for pre-loading music on mobile phones. Motorola is in talks with record label Saregama-HMV for sourcing music for its phones. RPG Entertainment is already building an online music store. It has hired Microsoft and HP as technology facilitators. Nokia has tied up with music maestro AR Rehman for its launch of its N91 series of phones, and plans to have its own version of iTunes.
