I don’t know the veracity of this story, but in the same story (below) about the Helio launch party, a small mention about T-Mobile asking retail shops to boycott Helio. It is “poised to deprive those shops of their own dealer codes, if they start selling Helio handsets, according to a report by Hankook Daily’s U.S. branch“…I couldn’t find the original story.
The story hints why only T-Mobile is doing this: it has attracted around 35 percent of Koreans living in the U.S. as its customers.
