Earnings: CyberMedia’s Online Revenues Grew 42% To Rs 5.57 Crore

Cyber Media India Ltd, a leading Indian specialty media house, announced its results for 2005-06. It has posted a 40 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 6.02 crore compared to Rs 4.31 crore posted during the fiscal 2004-05. Its revenues stood at Rs 80.55 crore in 2005-06, up 21 per cent from Rs 66.77 crore the last fiscal.
Other highlights
–Its online revenues grew 42 per cent to Rs 5.57 crore in 2005-06. Monthly page views grew to 45.3 million from 12.5 million during the period.
–Publishing business revenues grew by 43 per cent YoY to Rs 55.96 crore. There has been 18.5 per cent increase in number of ad pages; there has been an increase in ad rates too.
–Revenue from events business down to Rs 22.7 mn from Rs 62.5mn due to planned strategy to exit low margin events.
–Revenue from research business increased by 47% YoY to Rs 121.8mn.
–Content Services generated Rs 14.9mn with 33 clients
–Job Board business – Rs 1.8mn
–Revenue from Digital business down to Rs 60.0mn from 111.8mn due to planned strategy of reduced focus in low value added multimedia business. [Full press release – pdf – here]
