After Bharti Tele-Ventures won licence to operate in British Isles-Jersey, here is a small Indian telco thinking big. Shyam Telecom, a telecom equipment manufacturer and that provides CDMA services just in one circle, Rajasthan, has won a GSM mobile service operator licence in the UK. With this licence, Shyam Telecom would be able to operate full-fledged GSM services in the British Isles, including Ireland. Shyam joins other Indian telecom biggies like MTNL and Telecommunications Consultants of India Ltd which runs mobile services in Nepal, Bharti (Seychelles).
