Shakeup At FT; New CEO of


High time this happened: Financial Times owner Pearson has done a management shakeup at the newspaper. Its finance director Rona Fairhead will become CEO of the FT Group – which owns the Financial Times, FT Deutschland, French business title Les Echos and information service Interactive Data Corporation – from June 12.
Fairhead replaces Olivier Fleurot, who will move to parent company Pearson to develop plans for new digital technologies in publishing and information.
Also John Ridding, the editor of the Financial Times in Asia and Pearson’s chairman in Asia, become CEO of the Financial Times and, a post in which he will report to Fairhead.
