Vodafone Rejects Verizon Offer

Verizon Communications is still interested in buying out Vodafone’s share of the Verizon Mobile business in the US, according to the UK’s Daily Telegraph. Verizon reportedly offered $38 billion for Vodafone’s 45% share, but Arun Sarin (Vodafone CEO) thinks the stake is worth $50 billion. The companies aren’t talking about the deal, but the papers are full of people urging Vodafone to reject the lower offer. Which is amusing, since Sarin has already indicated he doesn’t want to sell the stake at all.
