iVillage, which is in the process of being acquired by NBC Universal, reported its last earnings as an independent public company: in Q1, it posted a loss of $3 million compared to a loss of $1.3 million for the same quarter in 2005. Revenue grew to $21.6 million from $17.3 million in the year-ago period. The losses increased due to acquisition costs ($1.9 million), the company said. Revenues from iVillage.com increased 76 percent to $16.45 million in Q1.
From Q1 10-Q: Included in total revenues are barter transactions which totaled approximately $1.1 million, or 5% of total revenues, for Q1 2006. For the corresponding period in 2005, barter transactions totaled approximately $1.7 million, or 10% of total revenues.
Hearst: Revenues, net of royalty payments, from Hearst, were approximately $1.4 million for Q1 2006 and $1.5 million for the three months ended March 31, 2005.
