Join the Audience Business, the fastest growing business unit at AOL, which will generate $1.5 billion in revenue and return double-digit OIBDA growth in 2006, as a Director, Entertainment Business Development in the Strategy & Business Development organization in our NY office.
As the Director, your role will be to lead business development for AOL’s entertainment channels, including AOL Music, AOL Television, AOL Movies and leading internet franchises such as Sessions and Unscripted. You will manage and direct a team in identifying, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and executing partnerships with leading entertainment companies. The Director reports to Director, Programming Business Development and will interact on a project-by-project basis with the key business and programming executives of the Company.
Responsibilities:
— Identify, evaluate, structure, negotiate and close partnerships across entertainment channels and franchises. Estimate 200+ partnerships exceeding $50 MM of annual spend.
— Develop partnerships strategy across all entertainment programming channels to support channel business goals.
— Manage relationships for AOL LLC with key partners including the music labels and movie studios.
— Prioritize business development resources based on quantitative analysis of business opportunities.
Requirements:
An ideal candidate will have the following background to qualify:
— MBA preferred
— 6-10 years relevant experience in entertainment business development (particularly music experience) and online media
— Strong analytical and quantitative skills
— Experience in leading/ managing multiple direct reports
— Superior written and verbal communication skills
— Ability to work on and manage multiple projects within tight timelines
