This AP story is about cable operators not having much say in the mobile TV biz…although they’re taking a part with the HiWire service. The good thing about the article is the statistics provided, such as Americans spend 22 hours per week watching TV and 12.9 talking on a cell phone, and 4.3 hours a week using the phone to play games and send messages. They also spend an average of $44.60 per month on TV (which I find to be an astounding figure), so the prices of $15-20 bandied about for broadcast mobile TV in the US aren’t as high as I first thought.
