Reed Business Information: Head of e-Strategy, Chicago Divison

Reed Business Information is looking for a Director/Head of e-Strategy to lead the development and expansion for its Chicago Division’s electronic franchise, which includes 20+ Business-to-business trade publications in the following market segments/industries: Food and Hospitality, Building and Construction, Manufacturing, Printing and Packaging and Furniture.
The Director/Head of e-Strategy will report to the Chicago Division President and will be a key member of that management team, serving as the division’s leader and expert in online product development and revenue growth. His/her key responsibilities will include:
— Develop a formal strategy and business plan to accelerate online revenue growth.
— Act as the driving force in strategy implementation by collaborating with publishers and online editorial staff to execute goals against overall e-business objectives.
— Establish new brands/products within the e-environment creating sustainable revenue streams:
— Create, define and develop new revenue opportunities across existing editorial products bringing innovative solutions to meet market demand and client needs.
— Evaluate and develop divisional guidelines for e-pricing, ensuring prices are rationalized and deliver appropriate margins based on business goals and market conditions
— Proactively identify new technologies that can result in operational efficiencies, cost savings and new revenue streams.
— Manage Internal and External Partnerships with:
Technology service providers to ensure overall business growth.
Division management and Human Resources in recruiting and developmental efforts to hire in new talent and to develop high potential internal employees to meet the business requirements for implementation of the e-strategy.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience
It is critical for the Director/Head of e-Strategy to have a thorough understanding of the online environment with particular expertise in online marketing and the transition of high-end Business-to-Business print brands to รข
