HCL, Dish TV In 5-Year Pact For Distribution And Digital Content

The Hindu Business Line: IT company HCL Infosystems has announced a five-year partnership with Dish TV, a direct-to-home TV company owned by Essel Group. The tie-up will enable the DTH service provider to leverage HCL’s distribution and service support. On the other hand, the alliance will enable HCL Infosystems to offer digital entertainment services as part of its digital lifestyle portfolio, says the news report.
“HCL has tied up with Dish TV to be its national distribution partner. The tie-up is in line with HCL’s digital lifestyle strategy, as we already offer a range of products in data, voice and video. Now with this tie-up, we can add digital content,” George Paul, Executive Vice-President, HCL Infosystems said.
This is one aspect I haven’t understood clearly. Will HCL Infosystems provide content?
