Recent acquisitions of Advocate publisher LPI and gay travel marketer RSVP helped PlanetOut to a 164-percent increase n net revenue for 1Q05to $17.6 million from $6.7 million in 1Q05. But integrating them also contributed to a slight loss — $0.1 million compared to a gain of $.02 million in the same quarter last year.
— Advertising rose to $5.3 million from $1.4 million year over year. Cross-platform sales are increasing.
— PlanetOut added more than 12,700 subscribers to Out and The Advocate in the quarter by bundling the magazines with Gay.com’s premium subscription, an increase of 5-plus percent in mag circulation.
