Mobile audio and video provider MSpot is cutting deals with sports radio services to provide them on the phone: among them, CBS Corp. and Clear Channel Communications…The stations will be available to Sprint subscribers who pay an additional $5.95 per month for the MSpot sports package. The companies will receive a portion of the subscriber revenue.
CBS Radio and Clear Channel will run the same advertising on MSpot that listeners hear on the Internet streams of their stations, potentially allowing the companies to eventually boost those rates. CC will make eight sports stations available…MSpot’s sports package already includes Sporting News radio stations and celebrity sports interviews, news flashes, and interviews with athletes and other big sports personalities.
