Microsoft’s Windows Live has displaced Google on Amazon’s A9 and Alexa services. Blog Google Operating System, which first reported the change although some news orgs apparently think it came from the ether, calls it “the first major success for the new Windows Live Search.” Microsoft has a long way to go and a lot of money to spend, Google has a lot to protect and, as John Battelle continues to note, Amazon and Google are on a collision course. Only going to get more interesting.
Reuters: A9 CEO David Tennenhouse wouldn’t talk details but confirmed the switch happened over the weekend following expiration of the Google contract.
