Photo Sharing Site FilmLoop Gets $7 Million Funding

FilmLoop, a photo-sharing startup, has raised $7 million in second round investment led by ComVentures. FilmLoop, which launched in November last year, is a free desktop program that lets people drag and drop photos into a file, then view those pictures on the desktop, as they would view a film reel. Interesting use: Toyota, eBay, Purina and others have signed on to use FilmLoop as a marketing tool. The Palo Alto-CA based company is also backed by Garage Technology Ventures.
