Fortune magazine has selected nine tech companies who could be going in for an IPO. Interestingly, there are three mobile content companies in the list. If you still haven’t guessed them, here are they and why (of course, according to Fortune):
Hands-On Mobile (formerly Mforma) – which recently launched offerings like prayers from Pat Boone and entertaining greetings from rock-star Tommy Lee – is well placed for a public offering, according to the magazine.
Motricity which has received about $120 million in VC funding thus far has to go in for an IPO. For, VCs want their money back.
Glu Mobile definitely hasn’t talked about an IPO. The company, which raised about $58 million from investors like Sienna Ventures and Time Warner Investments, is however a candidate to go public. [Fortune’s full list here]
