Be A Beta Pirate

MDisney (a mobile publisher for — you guessed it — Disney) has announced it is offering the Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer mobile game as a beta test ahead of its official launch along with the second movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, on July 7. I suppose I should offer a disclaimer:I am eagerly anticipating this movie more than any other in my entire life. Still, the game in question is “a cross-carrier, real-time multiplayer game for mobile phones”, which is still a pretty big deal in the mobile gaming world, brand or no brand. The beta-test is available at www.piratesmobilemultiplayer.com, and is being run by Floodgate, the mobile games developer behind it all. I strongly suspect it’s only available to people in the US.
About the game…”It will permit up to 16 players to engage in individual game sessions. Players will be able to chat with other players, make friends and form guilds of hundreds of players on the game’s server, which can accommodate tens of thousands of simultaneous players.”
