Zingy, one of the bigger mobile content aggregators in U.S., is seeing more upheavel: Andy Volanakis, the relatively new CEO of Zingy, is leaving, MocoNews.net has learned, and according to my sources, it is because of differences with parent company For-Side.com over strategic direction of company, pretty much the same issue the earlier CEO and founder Fabrice Grinda had when he left in January. Also leaving is CTO Bill Hazard, though that is said to be for more personal reasons to do other things.
The comapny spokesperson confirmed these moves. The officialese: “We’re sorry to see Andy and Bill go. Andy is a pioneer in the mobile content business. In his three years with Zingy, Andy’s contributions have been immeasurable, as he has been largely responsible for guiding the company through a period of great growth. In his short time here, Bill has been a valued member of the management team. For-Side.com will act quickly to implement transition plans for the company’s leadership.”
