With one or two possible exceptions, we’re not posting audio of sessions at NAB and the concurrent conferences. That’s because NAB, unlike most conference we’ve been to this year, has arranged for most of the sessions — 77, to be exact — to be recorded for next-day download as well as audio CD. The download mp3s run $99 on-site and $149 post-conference for all sessions or $69/$99 per content track and are available for up to six months.
Some quibbles: I think NAB would benefit more from making at least the super sessions available for free download, even if distribution is delayed until after the conference ends; it could be done with a daypass option that requires watching a message about NAB rather than a commercial ad. Beyond that, sessions should be offered for single download. Also, the slightly more expensive CD option doesn’t work in car or home stereos, which lessens its utility. Still, it’s a start. No direct link but ordering should be possible from the NAB Store after the conference.
