@ Milken: MySpace Videos vs YouTube

At Milken conference today, it is a media heavy day….our panel went well and I will report on that later. But the early morning (7:45 AM? Really..why so early?) was a bit tame, but had some good speakers on it. Ross Levinsohn, the head of Fox Interactive mentioned something offhand which was interesting: he said that the number of videos being uploaded daily on MySpace’s own video sharing service surpassed YouTube‘s last week. Not sure how he’s measuring that, but interesting to see how that compares with actual views etc….
Later: As I thought about this later, it probably is that MySpace views are lower than YouTube views, for the simple technical reason that MySpace videos are not auto-play, while YouTube’s are.
