In Australia, digital media production group Swish Group is acquiring 51 per cent of online digital music and video content business Amphead Entertainment Group. The acquisition will result in a name change to Swish Amphead…Swish will pay for the deal with three million Swish shares, a cash component to be paid over the next 12 months and a component based on the performance of the business over the next two years.
Amphead has agreements with a number of major indie labels with its catalog distributed through online music retailers such as iTunes, Telstra Bigpond, JB Hifi and Sanity.
