Next Week: Coverage From World Telemedia Conference, Berlin

Coming Monday, we will have extensive coverage from the World Telemedia conference in Berlin…our new MocoNews European contributing writer Peggy Anne Salz will be there, covering the show and panels. The annual conference always goes into nitty-gritty of European mobile content market, but the downside is the whole program is very vendor driven, with few content players on the panels or speaking.
In any case, Peggy will write about the best things happening there..she has been reporting on the mobile content industry since its inception. Her work has appeared in business publications such as WSJ Europe, WSJ Asia and The International Herald Tribune; as well as telecom trade pubs New Media Age, and Mobile Communications International. Her most recent report — Mobile Search & Content Discovery, published by Informa — explores the business potential of content discovery and search engine technologies and how they may assist media companies to monetize the Long Tail of hit and miss mobile content.
In general, besides continental conferences such as these, Peggy will be doing our ongoing interview series with industry leaders, with a particular focus on European content players, operators, handset players, and occasionally, vendors.
