Belo, publisher of the Dallas Morning News, reported a 27 percent decline in Q1 earnings…Earnings fell to $17.3 million, from $23.7 million…Revenue increased 7 percent to $371.7 million from $349.2 million.
On the online side, interactive revenues increased almost 60 percent over the prior year quarter…represented about six percent of Q1 newspaper ad revenue and more than four percent of consolidated ad revenues.
Advertising revenues from Belo’s TV Group sites increased 72 percent in the first quarter to $4 million.
