Cyoshi Mobile Acquired by Mobile Streams For $3.7 Million

Cyoshi Mobile, one of my favorite small mobile content development studios (based in Hannover, Germany) has been acquired by UK-based mobile content biggie MobileStreams, for about $3.7 million, with two-thirds coming in cash and rest in stock.
Cyoshi Mobile was formed as a subsidiary of the TV and film production company Cyoshi Crucial GmbH…it specialty is short-form animated cartoon content. It took the cult internet series “Happy Tree Friends” onto mobile. Its portfolio of original content includes other cartoon shows such as “Suicidal Squirrels” and “Joe Cartoon”. Also, Cyoshi Mobile has exclusive rights for mainland European distribution of the Australia based mobile community FunkySexyCool.
It also has licensed rights to the Bible scriptures for mobile content in 22 languages.
Considering all this, I would say the acquisition price seems low…more details in the release here.
