The candidate will provide research support for the Internet industry, focused on publicly traded companies in the Search, Internet Advertising, eCommerce, and Digital Content sectors.
Under the guidance of a senior equity research analyst, the candidate will analyze: emerging market opportunities in the Internet sector, product and competitive positioning, and individual company financial statements. The role calls for significant primary market research including data collection and interaction with management, advertisers, ad agencies and trade associations.
Typical Associates spend half of their time conducting market research and half of their time creating research reports; a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is mandatory. The job offers excellent exposure to emerging growth companies in the Internet sector and provides a strong career path in Sell-Side Equity research, asset management, and business development/corporate strategy.
Undergraduate candidates with 2 years of experience in the Internet or advertising sectors will be considered; an undergraduate degree in economics or finance is preferred. Candidates should have excellent research, writing, communication, and computing skills and be very detail oriented.
