Weblogs, Inc. is going local — if you consider an entire state local. BloggingOhio.com, already underway, was announced Monday by Jason Calacanis on his blog. A quick check showed that Weblogs, Inc. holds the Blogging”state”.com domain for other states and Calacanis said via email, “I’m sure we’ll do more.” He added, “Of course, local is a very hard space to crack. It’s going to take a long time and lot of hard work. However, we’re in it for the long (long) haul, and I think there will be some nice synergies with AOL on this one.” Had to ask why Ohio? The reply: “Why not Ohio?”
