In-Game Advertising Is In; In-Film Is Passe

In-game advertising is catching up in India, says an Economic Times report. It says FMCG and consumer goods companies are increasingly looking at online games to place their ads to attract the attention of the teenage-to-youth segment. Level Up India’s MD Venkat Mallik says that they have been approached by marketers for in-game advertising. Pranay Anthwal, GM, Starcom Media West, says they will be going live with three in-game branding projects soon. Even interactive agencies say the trend is going to catch up soon if it has not yet.
