Monstermob Acquires China’s W-Infinity Communications For $81.5 Million

UK’s Monstermob keeps bulking up: it has acquired another Chinese mobile content company W-Infinity Communications for $81.5 million, which includes new shares and loan notes, payable in three stages. “W-Infinity will complete our acquisitions in China and significantly enhances our ability to grow organically due to its strong strategic and highly complementary fit with our existing operations, Atop and M Dream,” said the group.
Citywire adds, quoting Monstermob’s CEO Martin Higginson, that “the exciting thing about W-Infinity, which was founded in 2002 by CEO Jack Deng, is that it has operations in 27 of China’s 31 provinces from six offices.”
In January, Monstermob had acquired M Dream, a Chinese developer of games for mobile phones, for $30-$35 million.
Times UK: Monstermob said in a statement to shareholders that it would concentrate on making the new businesses acquired in its recent run of purchases work together. “Monstermob intends not to actively seek any acquisitions which are significant in the context of the overall group,” it said.
