Google has scored a patent for voice-activated search, which was applied for five years ago. I haven’t seen the patent, but there are other companies doing voice-activated search which are going to need to take a good look at it. This includes: Promptu, which released an application last month; V-Enable, which got $6 million in funding in February; and 411-Song, which has a voice-activated ringtone search.
