The Business Times: The INFOCOMM Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) has fined mobile content provider mTouche $150,000 for allowing Chinese company MyGlobalFun to “access its customer database to send out unsolicited and chargeable short message services greetings during the Chinese New Year period”. Mind you, over a week 300,000 mobile users were charged $1 each for the SMS greetings…so the industry as a whole made a profit.
