: We are presently looking for a Senior Business Development specialist in key markets to increase our go to market capabilities. We are interested in candidates who have a proven track record of sales and business development success in the Entertainment and Media marketplace to join our extremely fast paced, market leading team. Candidates will be expected to have a deep understanding of the core business objectives of the Studios, Cable Network Operators, and be able to map our value proposition against those core objectives.
Although this company has been in business for 15 years it was recently capitalized and in all ways is a very fast paced start up organization. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
— Work with VP of Business Development to establish beach head projects within the online distribution groups within the Studios and Cable Networks and subsequently work to maximize those opportunities across the enterprise.
— Drive all direct and indirect revenue opportunities within territory
— Establish working relationships with partners, utilizing these relationships to identify projects and joint venture opportunities.
— Participate in industry user-groups and other affiliations in specific market, as well as recognize the importance of relationship building with key customer prospects.
— Make presentations to Studio, Cable Network and online content aggregator executives
— Make product and market recommendations to senior management based on interactions with customers
— Accurate forecasting and territory planning
Position Requirements
— 10+ years applicable enterprise class business development and sales experience
— Mature Rolodex within the online groups within the Entertainment, Media, and aggregator communities
— Retail and MSO experience is not explicitly required but will be favorably reflected
— Proven ability to work remotely
— Have sold multi-level complex offerings within the studios, cable networks and content publishing community.
— Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas in similar stage companies
— Ideal candidates will have knowledge of new media technologies including, Encoding, DRM, Commerce, CDN, and various media players.
